MUSIC MOVES EVENTS AMSTERDAM
Music Moves Amsterdam started with a kick-off in club Lovelee, followed by training sessions by entrepreneurs such as Ilco van der Linde and Angelo Bromet. On 14 and 15 October, the events of all Movers in Amsterdam took place, as an official part of the Amsterdam Dance Event programme. With highlights like these:
OFF THE ROOF
A showcase for homeless people and street musicians was organised at Makom shelter to showcase their talents and kick-start their musical aspirations.
DANCING PLACE
A real club experience in VOLTA for people with disabilities. From silent disco to karaoke & DJ workshops!
PLAY YOURSELF GRAY
Let yourself be carried away by your favourite hits and let your emotions loose on the canvas. With a delicious ending: eggnog and records. An art workshop for the elderly with music as its central theme.
JOIN THE MOVEMENT IN AMSTERDAM
Music Moves trains hundreds of music lovers in the Netherlands to become social entrepreneurs in the music industry. After following a 4-part training course, you will organise your own music event for people you would not normally meet on the dance floor. Unfortunately, registration for Amsterdam is closed. The punchy pack believes that we can shape our future using the power of our imagination, diversity and collaboration. Chantal hosts the kick-off and takes the Movers on the first step of the journey during the smashing kick-off of Music Moves.
REVELINO RIGTERS - TRAINING 1
RAPPER, SINGER, TALENT COACH AND AFTER-PRISON COORDINATOR
We kick off the first training with an inspirational lecture by Rivelino Rigters. During this first training we form teams based on shared interests. This will be the team with which you will shape your Music Moves events and bring them to reality.
ILCO VAN DER LINDE - TRAINING 2
(CO-)FOUNDER OF DANCE4LIFE AND THE MANDELA HOUSE
During the second training we welcome well-known name in the field Ilco van der Linde as an inspirer. There is also a workshop by SeSi Community Center: create your own event. They are committed to promoting inclusive programs. During this training you will develop the concept for your event.
ANGELO BROMET - TRAINING 3
CULTURAL ENTREPRENEUR & TALENT DEVELOPER MELKWEG AMSTERDAM
In the third training we welcome Angelo Bromet. In this lecture on social entrepreneurship you will have time to further work on your event in the areas of networking, sponsorship and sustainability.
MARIJKE ALTENBURG - TRAINING 4
ADVISOR AND TRAINER AT THE VOLUNTARY CENTER AMSTERDAM
Marijke Altenberg comes to tell us all the ins and outs about guiding volunteers and rules of conduct with respect to the target group. During this training you will pitch your event.
